Ep 24 – The 6 Benefits of Journaling and Helpful Prompts

how I use journal promptsThis episode is all about journaling. I’ve had a consistent journaling practice since 2017 and it has changed my life in so many ways.

I’ve been able to reduce anxiety around specific fears relating to work, relationships, personal goals, hobbies, etc. You name it, I’ve journaled about it.

Thanks to Tim Ferriss and his love and dedication to journaling, I was inspired to start writing four years ago after hearing many of his podcast episodes that talked about how helpful journaling has been in his life.

Unraveling that tangled up ball of yarn in my head has been tough, yet journaling (plus meditation) has made a big impact on helping me see things clearer. Writing in the mornings help settle some worries, and writing at night helps me reflect on where I can make micro improvements in my life.

Check out the below bullet points to see what’s covered in this episode and all the links to great prompts, journals, and pens I love.

“Once we get those muddy, maddening, confusing thoughts [nebulous worries, jitters, and preoccupations] on the page, we face our day with clearer eyes.” — Julia Cameron
