As the world continues to ebb through the pits of uncertainty, successful handbag designer Gelareh Mizrahi takes matters into her own hands. She quickly put a hold on her fashion business to focus all of her time and effort to raise money for PPEs (personal protective equipment) that she is distributing to doctors, other medical staff and hospitals across the US. Support began a few weeks ago when her brother, a doctor at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, desperately needed protection to help combat the growing spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Gelareh shares how she’s turned her GoFundMe into a larger coalition with other non-profits. She also dives into her thought process when building a brand, finding the write people to work with and be mentored by, learning from past managerial mistakes, and more.
And yes, Kylie Jenner is a fan of her notorious micro mini bags! Kylie’s daughter Stormi has been seen on several occasions with her very own micro mini collection. Gelareh’s fashion vibe is always tide to “humor” as she says; she wants to make a positive impact with her collection through the tongue in cheek bags she’s created over the last eight years.
