Ep 19 – Becoming Anti-Racist

Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better. – Maya Angelou

This episode is about making a difference in your own way. Small, big, anything. Anything is better than staying silent, better than not making a change for justice.

I can do better. I will take more time to educate myself on issues affecting others. There are many ways we can support the Black community. How we can improve this system, this country?

It’s no longer enough for us, or me, a white woman, to just be non-racist. It’s a matter of being anti-racist. Listen in and check out the links below.

This episode will run for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. That’s how long Minneapolis police heinously pinned down George Floyd with Officer Chauvin’s knee directly suffocating George Floyd’s neck. Even after George was unconscious, Chauvin continued to apply his full weight on George’s neck for another 2 minutes and 53 seconds. Over what? A pack of cigarettes George allegedly purchased with a $20 counterfeit bill? Six dollars!?
