Ep 42 – Your Secret Sauce with Prof Sturm

Rachel Sturm on Torch, meta perception

Self-awareness gets a lot of attention, but come to find the real secret sauce of leadership and in knowing thyself lies in meta-perception. What is meta-perception? It is the assumption you make based on how you think others see you.

Professor Rachel Sturm explains the negative consequences that result from your under prediction of how you think others perceive you. All of the consequences affect your behavior which in turn limits your choices, affects how you lead, determines how you show up and what projects or roles you pursue at work and in life.

It’s not all doom and gloom though. Rachel gets into how empowering this can be for anyone interested in better understanding how they make decisions and how they perceive other people’s thoughts of them.
